About Us

The Encouragement Foundation’s vision is…

“To create a network of sustainable and educational encouragement projects, with the belief that individuals have a right to knowledge and support.”

We Partner with like-minded Not-For-Profits and Volunteers

If you or your organisation’s main focus is to support disadvantaged individuals within the community or are involved with support projects that assist society then become an Encouraging Partner.

We have Community Engagement Projects suitable for Corporate Businesses and Philanthropists.

The Encouragement Foundation is seeking to build a network of funding avenues to ensure sustainability and progress. Individuals who own successful businesses or are financially secure often want to give towards a worthwhile and socially needed cause. Usually, due to a lack of time; donations and sponsorships are given ad hoc. By becoming a sponsor of The Encouragement Foundation your contribution to society will provide support to initiatives that will have a lasting effect on society.

Our Belief

The Encouragement Foundation wants to create a global network of like-minded encouragers who actively participate in encouraging others throughout the world.

We believe that everybody has the ability to offer encouragement to others and that everybody can benefit from receiving encouragement.

By harnessing the power of the internet, aligning and focusing the combined efforts of tens of thousands of people around the world, we are creating a force for good, using the power of encouragement.

Empowering and nurturing others to make a significant contribution to a new and vital positive energy that flows back into our society.

We believe that together we are encouraging others to hang in during tough times, to be inspired to dream again, to improve their lives so that they not only create more hope and opportunity for themselves, but for family, friends and associates as well as for the community and the country.

Together we can combine our efforts and help individuals unlock their natural potential and become:

  • More hopeful and optimistic
  • More positive and motivated
  • More certain and relaxed
  • More innovative and resourceful
  • More generous-spirited and contributory
  • More enjoyable and confident

The Encouragement Foundation is committed to operating by a number of guiding principles which, provide natural filters for all our decisions and actions.

While we respect the right of individuals to make their own decisions, these principles provide a clear set of ethical guidelines for how we commit to making a contribution.

Positive Optimism

  • We believe that individuals can make a difference and can be the difference
  • We believe in the power of positive energy. We are committed to creating happiness and vitality within our Workplace, so that we are in the best possible position to actively radiate this energy, inspiration and vision to the world
  • All men and women who work with us agree to support each other in this goal

Growth and contribution beyond ourselves

  • We believe in empowering others – inspiring people to be the best they can be
  • We believe in serving as positive change agents, as opposed to resisting negative mindsets.
  • It is said that Mother Teresa declined when asked to join in an “Antiwar” march but would agree to join in a “For Peace” march.

Integrity

  • We commit to remaining true to our guiding principles so that we will be better equipped to honour and respect the lives and positive values of all individuals
  • We will continuously remind ourselves that we are responsible for the way we act if we are to earn the respect of others
  • We commit to ensuring that all our actions must be driven by a win/win philosophy

Independence

  • We believe that to give our best, we must remain totally independent of any religious and political alignment.
  • We believe that active encouragement nurtures growth, development and prosperity.
  • We work to ensure that people are not only able to create their own opportunities and growth, but that they become inspired to contribute positively to the lives of others.

Constant and never-ending improvement

  • We are committed to continuously seeking ways to improve what we do and the effect we have on the lives of others.

Testaments

Thank you John Shadforth for your encouragement and for finding this Encouragement group. I do sometimes feel like giving up when things are not working out all at once and seems to be going on like that for some time. This has given me another stick in the ribs to keep going? Thanks again.

L Dickson, June 2009

Your stories of life and despair have inspired me to go out into this big world and inspire someone else as you have done to us. Thank you for visiting us today, your encouragement foundation is a great achievement for you, from Kyle.

Dear John Shadforth, thank you for coming to see us all the way from Sunshine Coast. Thank you also for telling us your encouraging stories. You are a real hero to us. I hope you keep doing what you do, thank you for the world vision child, we will write to him soon, by Taylor.

Mr Shadforth, you inspired me and motivated me to encourage anyone and that you don’t have to be rich and wealthy to achieve your dreams and that you can be anyone to accomplish them. I would like to thank you for coming to the college. I’ll try to cherish what you told us and whenever someone’s down I will think of your story of Steve and I too will try to encourage them as well, from Tristan.

What a wonderful concept! Suddenly I feel like I am no longer alone in my mission. Our motto is “assisting parents to bring out the best in their kids”. Congratulations on your contribution and in trying to make our world a better place to live. I am proud to say that I too have signed on.

“Thank you everyone involved. I was overcome when your beautiful parcel arrived so unexpectedly. To think that people we have never met, were so thoughtful and generous. Thank you so much. Your thoughtfulness has given me such a lift, a feeling of confidence and gratitude that we live in such a wonderful country.”
